The design takes cues from the abundant northern light and fresh beach-side breeze. Spliced down the side of an existing dwelling, the design remains unobtrusive and eloquently utilises small spaces by finding advantageous solutions using scale, height and inclines.

Standard glazing sizes and lightweight materials were selected to ensure the couple met their budget requirements with an easy to build design.

A subtle timber structure now sits down the side of their home offering privacy to users; a light filled and relaxing interior atmosphere with the reassurance of a smaller carbon footprint.
